For oppos who have driven/ridden in/have one, do they have the derpy analog clock? If, so can you replace it with some sort of cover or do you have to replace the entire unit?

What do you mean by “derpy”

Meaningless and stupid. I do not want to see something that reminds me of ye olden times. Plus an analog clock's dial is not something you can keep tapping to make it show good news, because then you're either late or early and either is never a good thing

Well
I don’t think there’s a version that does n’t have the clock

Damn what a shame. Another one in the con column then

Every RC has an analog clock because it is classy as fuck.

Prhaps if your definition of classy includes a monocle and a pocket watch. It’s a relic that should’ve been left behind in the last century. It just screams nouveau riche that doesn’t belong with the rest of the interior aesthetics.

I think you’re the only person who says “not only do I not care for this clock, it is actively bad and a serious knock against me considering this car because of it.” A clock is a very easy thing to ignore. It’s just part of the dashboard.

Well go live in Japan for a bit, then it will all make more sense in that it makes no sense, but it does in Japan. Clear?

Easy life hack: Put a smiley face sticker over it. That way, you’ll always be in a good mood.

Maybe for you, but the clock sticks out like a sore thumb to me

I very well might

If the clock bothers you so much it's stopping you from buying a car , you may need to rethink your priorities.

U right, analog clocks are stupid, which is why no one wears one an ymore. But also w e need to save the manuals because we need more analog shit.
I think those that rip on analog clocks in cars are are frustrated by them bc they have a hard time reading them at a glance; just keep practicing and you’ll figure it out soon enough. Some good YouTube videos with tips and tricks to become a minute and hour hand expert reader, really impress your friends!

Its not preventing me from buying the RC, its an entry in the con column

I wear an analog watch. My problem is that the RC’s clock is so out of place with the rest of the interior aesthetics/design; like an afterthought someone just slapped it in there as if the inclusion of an analog clock dresses up the interior. It does not; perhaps if it was color matched, but as it is, this is one for the con column.

I have a friend with an RC F. Every time I’ve been a passenger in it, I can’t say I’ve ever even
looked
at the analog clock. There’s a lot going on in the cabin and even more under the hood.

I consider that clock one aspect of refinement on the inside of the car.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in both a RC and RCF and the clock really never bothered me as I never really noticed it. I would have you consider a GS instead though. I had more fun in t he GS300(2.0L T) then the RC350 F-Sport and have heard the GSF is way more fun than the RCF I drove.

If it’s so anachronistic, why do you wear an analogue watch when your phone shows the time? Seems kind of silly to me.

I think you meant to reply to the other person.

I sure did. Apologies!
